Thirteenth leg of the trip
We woke up early and toured the town while it was still asleep.
We also stopped by where we ate dinner the night before. It was a great restaurant with an outstanding view, though I do not think any restaurant here has a bad view. However, I do not think any restaurant has a server with as quick a wit. For instance, there were stuffed heads on the wall as one would expect at a place out west. And one would expect that these animals would have been found here in the park. But a little out of place was a big shark. So I asked the waitress, feciciously, where a bouts here she found the shark. She, without a hesitation, told us, “My sister and I went fishing this morning and I saw that shark, so I put my sister on the line and caught that ole shark. And you can see the big smile on that shark!”
We left paradise to head towards Las Vegas. On our way, we saw this cute town we had to take a picture. The town was called Virgin.
We arrived in Arizona. We were surprised to discover we would be arriving in Arizona. Turns out we were in Arizona for about 25 miles.
And this is the view from our room.
Las Vegas found Grumpy 1 and Grumpy 2. It was extremely loud and brought out all the insecurities of my younger days. Everything about it seem to say, "You do not belong here." Roger and I were unhappy and uncomfortable the whole time we were there. We were supposed to be there for two days, we left at 4am the next morning. We could not have been happier with a decision. Sorry for such a downer. Blessings to all.
