Before I go on, I must go back to Denver. We did take a side trip into the town of Denver. First we saw the Coors Stadium.
Across from the Coors Stadium is Breckenridge. We toured it.
Then we went on to the other of the Breckenridge Company's restaurant in Denver, the Ale House.
Then....we saw where...wait for it..Peyton Manning plays football. Big sigh. I love Peyton Manning. I think he is such an exceptional player and sportsman, and an all around good guy.
Now back to after Grand Junction:
Yesterday we left Grand Junction to head for Tropic, Utah. Tropic, Utah you ask?!?! Yes. This is basically north of Bryce Canyon.
We took thousands of pictures on our way, but thanks to the brilliance of technology we have the ability to delete and edit. I have been counting so many blessings on this trip. They add up to far more than I could ever deserve. But my gratitude for things I would never have thought of increases. Like technology for digital cameras so I do not have to decide between this picture and that. God has blessed Roger and me over and over.
We arrived in Utah! Looking for the Arches National Park!
Now this is a sign that made my heart weep! I saw a bumper sticker on this trip that was so me, "I'm not speeding, I'm qualifying."
We saw these beautiful plants at the Welcome Center.
Well, we enjoyed the sights of Arches National Park in Colorado. I want to thank my friend, Steve Martin for introducing me to them before the trip. This trip has been made so much more exciting because of all of our friends suggestions of places to go.
Arches National Park…our pictures will NOT do it justice, but we will try.
As I begin to go through these pictures it is hard to believe we were here. I hope you enjoy the ones I have selected for you. It really is an incredible place.
You may begin to notice the frequency of trees we take. We like trees. The shapes, sizes, the stages of their life cycle. I find them mesmerizing.
We don't know this kid, but thought it was fun to see him climbing on the rock.
We would see faces or creatures in several of the rock formations!
While on the road, we spotted a storm brewing in the distance. This is not a great picture, but it was quite cool to watch it develop. It never became a twister.
This is the front of the cabin we stayed in Tropic, Utah...
and, this is the back of our cabin we stayed the night in Tropic, Utah.
,,,this is the view we enjoyed from that back!
This is the rainbow we saw after the storm!
And if you know us, you will always see sunrise or sunset pictures!
