Sixth Leg of the Trip

Yesterday we celebrated the America’s Birthday.  Sarah had a whole day planned for us.  She took us through a very high end of Oklahoma City.  I found it odd that with the houses being so large and extravagant, the roads were so torn up.  We then were treated to a your of her office.  Now I will be able to see her sitting at her desk when I imagine her working away at her articles.

We went to Cathy and Shawn’s apartment which is quite lovely.  It has such fine woodwork in it.  It also has a lot of built in cabinetry that might be adding to Roger’s to do list!
We tried to go eat at a place called Pops, but the wait was too long, but it was a cool place!

Of course, the highlight for me was spending time with family.  They cooked the perfect meal on a grill and we were able to play with PUPPIES!!!!

They decorated the back and set up an event tent to block the sun because it was quite a scorcher that day!
I got a bit overheated

But I cooled down quite well by the evening:)

Jennifer, here are some pictures for you!  More pictures of me, petting animals across America!  Its the least I can do!

Roger and I still play footsies!
The firework show that night was quite spectacular.  Roger and I think it was one of the best we have seen in a long time.  And the weather was superb.  There was a gentle breeze and the temperature was quite balmy.  I wished America a Happy Birthday.  I hope she felt celebrated!
I feel so grateful to have been born in a country that I am free!

We also saw Venus and Jupiter!
Happy Birthday America!
